New Year, New experiences!

I considered starting a new blog for my Maryland adventures but perhaps there's really no place like home for posting my thoughts. So I'm coming back to this (yes yes, I've said that before).

For those of you who don't know or hadn't heard - I'm headed to Baltimore to do some drawing/illustration as a sort of art retreat during January and February 2011.

Got my two children book ideas and a semi-auto-biographical graphic novel in the back of my mind... and some pens and pencils. Pretty much all I need.

I have a little old PowerBook G4 that is going to do the trick while I'm away. I think it's probably good that I'm going to be forced OFF the computer for drawing and getting back to the basics. I've planned to bring my stylus (a little track pad that I can digitally draw on) but I'm not sure how much I'll use that. Besides, I really like watercolor anyway.

Well, it's Christmas and I still have lots to do/finish/pack so I'm going to log for now but I'll be around here posting stuff and thoughts in the new year.
